Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented Senior Accountant who can manage accounting processes related to multi-entity reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, equity accounting, allocations, and subsidiary accounting. Responsibilities include processing journal entries, completing month end close, audit support, executing internal controls and completing complex account reconciliations.

This is a hybrid position and will require in-office attendance at our Minnetonka, MN location at least two days/week including mandatory Wednesday's.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the month-end close process, including recording complex journal entries, maintaining a detailed checklist, communicating with subsidiary business partners, and proactively troubleshooting issues as they arise throughout the close. Record and process multi-entity transactions and subsidiary adjustments into the general ledger.
  • Own and facilitate the intercompany, elimination and equity accounting processes, including designing new allocation rules and maintaining existing models.
  • Pursue knowledge of underwriter premium splits, minority interest calculations, and statutory guidelines, coordinating proper GAAP and statutory regulatory accounting.
  • Partner with field management and corporate treasury to initiate process improvements and streamline multi-entity financial workflows where possible.
  • Perform account reconciliations for related balance sheet accounts, including high-volume intercompany accounts, providing robust support for all account balances. This also entails providing detailed variance explanations for specific accounts, researching reconciling items, and partnering with the business to identify process improvements as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between field transaction records and the general ledger.
  • Assist with audits (internal, external, regulatory, or underwriter-driven) by providing entity-specific reports, transaction ledgers, and required compliance documentation.


Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with consolidation and intercompany transactions and high-volume financial reconciliations, a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Experience with title insurance and premium accounting, a plus.
  • Workday experience, a plus

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.

Position's Pay Range:

$95,000 - $100,000/annually
