Scope of RoleThe Senior Accountant, who will be part of the finance department, reporting to the Director of Shared Services, is responsible for accurately and timely executing financial duties and will support the Field Services, Shared Services and Professional Services departments. This role ensures proper processing of financial transactions, adherence to corporate compliance guidelines and timely completion of reporting requirements. Additionally, the successful candidate will contribute to process improvements, support cross functional financial projects and serve as a trusted advisor in driving informed business decisions across the organization.
Specific Expertise- 3+ years of relevant experience
- BBA/MA in Accounting, Finance, MIS or CIS
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
General Ledger & Accounting Responsibilities- Manage the month end close process by recording and analyzing financial transactions and assisting in the timely and accurate production of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage payroll processing, GLX incentive plans and reconcile all deductions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with policies
- Monitor and review inventory and inventory adjustments
- Ensure sales tax compliance and prepare filings
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business decisions
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Liaise with auditors during interim and final audits; prepare necessary schedules and reports.
- Ensure all reconciliations are complete, up to date, and accurate, supporting compliance and audit readiness.
- Lead process improvement initiatives within the Shared Services team, revising procedures and accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
- Support cross functional projects and mentor team members on complex accounting challenges
IT Systems- Participate in ERP implementation and provide guidance to staff on accounting system issues, serving as back-up Administrator for SAP, MS, CRM, Fleet & Asset Tracking systems and network applications.
- Create, maintain and automate reports to support business decisions.
- Provide primary support to SG&A staff for general IT related matters.
