Full Job Description
As the Senior Accountant you will get the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by providing accounting and financial support for various programs and strategic initiatives. Title: Senior Accountant Salary: $76,530 - $95,662- $105,229 per year (pay range explained below) Contract: Permanent Hours: Regular, 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri) Location: Park Royal Office, West Vancouver - on the traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations - Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027. About the role As Senior Accountant, you will prepare corporate financial statements, reports, month-end close schedules, and audit working papers, while managing bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective financial operations. About you To be successful in this role you will have- Education & Experience (REQUIRED) - Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. - 4 to 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Extensive experience in applying concept and principles as outlined in the CICA Handbook for not-for-profit organizations. - Experience with funding agreements and not-for-profit accounting preferred. - Proven experience with project management responsibility that incorporate cross-functional or cross organizational influence. Experience (ASSET) - Experience working with BC First Nations organizations in a financial capacity is an asset. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated customer focus and ability to work with multiple stakeholders. - Solid business acumen in financial and business processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, including the use of technology.
