Senior Accountant

A fast-growing technology/manufacturing firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join their Finance team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This position plays a critical role in supporting their high-growth, manufacturing-driven business and offers meaningful exposure to operations, audits, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, and expense reporting.
  • Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Support cost accounting activities, including inventory accounting, reconciliations, and analysis (manufacturing environment).
  • Partner with business operations and cross-functional teams to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Document, monitor, and improve internal controls; identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automation.
  • Assist with external audits, due diligence, and compliance requests by preparing schedules and coordinating with auditors and external partners.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience (Big Four or national firm) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.

  • Cost accounting, inventory control, and analysis experience is a plus.
