Full Job Description
Our global Technology practice sits at the nexus point of innovative, integrated campaigns for technologies that impact consumers, society, and our way of life. We're looking for communicators that are passionate about telling deep, impactful stories at this intersection, using creativity, analytics, and media relations skills to move conversations forward in a meaningful way.

We are seeking a Senior Account Supervisor (SAS) to join our team in either our Austin or Dallas office. A great SAS for the Edelman Technology team is someone who understands the technology sector, knows how to reach a variety of media audiences, and has an appetite to own and drive the kinds of integrated communications marketing campaigns that showcase the true innovation power of leading global brands.

This SAS will be an integral part of global team supporting one of Edelman's largest and longest-running clients. We're looking for someone who can uncover and tell compelling stories at the intersection of technology, business and society, particularly as advances in AI and semiconductors reshape industries and everyday life. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of translating complex technologies into clear, relevant narratives; identifying opportunities to shape and lead conversations; providing strategic communications counsel; and managing teams to deliver impactful work. If you're passionate about corporate communications and technology - and want to expand your horizons and do transformative work - we want to hear from you.

We're looking for an energetic team player with a desire to work across disciplines to drive projects forward across all aspects of integrated communications. You're an excellent writer and storyteller, a sharp trend spotter, an avid news consumer and a creative thinker. You're curious about the technologies shaping what's next and understand how to connect innovation to the broader business and cultural conversation. Your background includes strong media relationships, strategic thinking that delivers meaningful impact for brands, and a passion for both the operational and cultural leadership of teams. You will supervise the work of team members, coaching them to master new skills while ensuring excellent quality in everything the team delivers. You'll also be a go-to deputy for senior team leads, supporting the development of the most important strategies and projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-tier client service, building trust and unlocking growth opportunities
  • Help lead operational and financial performance of account teams, delivering quality work and effective processes and ensuring that client requests are handled in a timely and strategic fashion.
  • Drive communications plans and launch strategies, including events
  • Oversee the development of product messaging and executive talking points for launches
  • Liaise with colleagues across specialties and disciplines to successfully complete integrated projects
  • Research trends to proactively counsel clients on their messaging and thought leadership
  • Demonstrate very advanced writing skills and supervise writing of others
  • Lead junior staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable, conducting reviews, and overseeing their professional development
  • Understanding of and ability to help operationalize the use of AI across the team
  • Lead new business development, RFP responses, and client acquisitions

Basic Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, journalism, advertising, business) or equivalent work experience
  • At least five years' experience in communications or public relations, preferably in an agency setting
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule (3x a week) in our Austin or Dallas office
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least five years of experience working in the corporate communications space, preferably with technology clients with experience in AI-focused comms
  • Have relationships with tech, business, and local media
  • Excellent storytelling skills, and ability to provide sound, level-appropriate media counsel with all levels of client contacts
  • Have a deep understanding of product and business-focused launch strategies and a track record of telling both product and business innovation stories
  • Have managed the budgets and team on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals
  • Have written strategic media plans and a variety of media materials with limited oversight
  • Proven account management and team leadership skills
  • Solutions-oriented and collaborative mindset
