This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. Salary is capped at GS-13, Step 5 ($136,622). If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
DutiesHelp
- You will assist with monitoring security policies and procedures in accordance with public law and contained within DoD and DoN instruction directives.
- You will support the Senior Officer with administrative and procedural duties.
- You will serve as the command point of contact for all security matters on behalf of the security officer when applicable.
- You will assist with the development of analytical and evaluative services to ensure the effective integrity of SUBMEPP's mission.
- You will process all incoming and outgoing classified mail and classified and unclassified message traffic in accordance with higher level directives.
- You will manage visitor control, inspection of restricted areas for compliance, mustering process for emergency evacuation, threat conditions and investigating alarms for the SUBMEPP area.
- You will mangae the Anti-Terrorism and Threat Management program.
- You will manage, maintain, and administer the Key Control Program and have a comprehensive program to cover controlled keys as well as others such as interior restricted area keys.
- You will initiate clearance suitability background investigations through the National Background Investigative Service.
- You will be trained and certified as a class VI Contracting Officer for the preparation, guidance and authorization of the DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254's) and will then manage, maintain and administer the program.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position and requires DoD certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed timeframes. Certification required is: SFPC
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
