Security Operations Specialist WHAT YOU'LL DO • Lead investigations into sophisticated cyber threats and shape defensive actions that protect the critical technology environment at the firm • Serve as incident commander for high or critical incidents by coordinating response actions, driving timely decisions, and keeping stakeholders aligned • Analyze and correlate security telemetry, log data, and threat intelligence to identify malicious activity and determine organizational impact • Develop threat intelligence reports that explain findings, mitigations, confidence levels, and implications for security operations • Create dashboards and visualizations that help security teams detect patterns, prioritize risks, and improve response decisions • Hunt for advanced adversary activity by applying analytics, network diagrams, and system knowledge to identify hidden threats • Partner with development teams to define requirements and enhancements for security capabilities, analytics, and operational tools • Document investigative findings and lessons learned to continually strengthen detection logic, response procedures, and security tradecraft • Brief technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership on active threats, incident status, and recommended actions WHAT'S REQUIRED • 10+ years of experience in intelligence, information security, network forensics, insider threat, or security operations • Specific understanding of key global threat areas affecting financial institutions, advanced persistent threats, and cyber actor motives and actions • Experience with Splunk and creating visualizations and dashboards for security monitoring and investigations • Exceptional ability to analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data from diverse sources into clear investigative conclusions • Proven ability to perform log file analysis and produce threat intelligence reports covering findings, mitigations, and confidence levels • Extensive experience applying advanced analytics, network diagrams, and related knowledge to understand systems, networks, environments, and adversaries • Ability to work with development teams and clearly articulate requirements and enhancements for security capabilities and tools • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to document findings and create detailed reports that help keep security tradecraft current WE TAKE CARE OF OUR PEOPLE We invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
