Position Title: Security Engineer

Start Date: One 1-year base period plus four 1-year option periods

Position Summary: The Security Engineer implements security controls, identity management, and threat detection. Ensures federal compliance and embeds security into applications and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Security architecture, IAM, compliance, ATO/ATU support, secure integrations, data protection.
344 Enterprise & Data Architecture: Enterprise architecture, data architecture blueprints, system inventories, solution architecture, governance standards, decommissioning strategy, FinOps, architecture reviews.
344 Systems Integration Engineering: APIs, integrations, interface design, ICDs, ETL/ELT pipelines, interface remediation, integration testing
344 Databricks Lakehouse Support: Lakehouse architecture, security design, common data model, migration framework, reporting and analytics
Required Qualifications:
344 Experience (5+ years) implementing security controls, identity and access management, and threat detection in
344 federal environments, such as defining security boundaries, identity and access management, role-based access control, data protection, and secure integration patterns for the Databricks Lakehouse; supporting ATO/ATU-related security activities; and ensuring HCM integrations meet USDA security and
344 authorization requirements.
344 Experience ensuring federal compliance and embedding security into applications and cloud infrastructure.
344 Experience supporting security authorization of federal information system
Education:
344 Bachelors degree and/or Equivalent Experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
