Full Job Description
Dexis is seeking a Security Assistance Analyst to support anticipated programming with the Department of State. This opportunity will provide program analysis, assessment, and trend monitoring in support of Department of State-administered military grant assistance programs. The security assistance analyst will collect and organize program data, design and implement analytical methodologies to capture program trends, develop analytical products to inform programming and budgeting decision-making, and coordinate with stakeholders within the security assistance/security cooperation enterprise.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the client, coordinating priorities, communicating progress, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring alignment with mission objectives.
  • Analyze Department of State-administered military grant assistance programs to assess trends, risks, opportunities, and implications for U.S. foreign policy and security cooperation objectives.
  • Provide strategic context, regional insights, and operational recommendations to support leadership decision-making, program planning, and resource prioritization.
  • Interpret analytical findings and program data to identify key trends, drivers, and implications, translating complex information into concise, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop analytical products that synthesize security, political, operational, and programmatic insights and implications of program activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and at least three (3) years of experience in defense or security program analysis, monitoring, and assessment.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
  • Experience researching, analyzing, and synthesizing complex political, security, military, and programmatic information into concise reports, briefings, and decision-support products for program managers and senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing stakeholders and translating complex issues into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active secret security clearance
  • Experience overseeing analytical, monitoring, evaluation, research, data analytics, or decision-support activities, including prioritizing competing requirements and delivering high-quality products under compressed timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting foreign assistance, security assistance, security cooperation, defense, or international security programs.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data governance, and data quality management principles.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles, repository governance, records management, and information lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple offices, stakeholder groups, or functional teams to identify requirements and implement knowledge-sharing solutions.
