Our team owns the Inventory Management System (IMS) that tracks and manages inventory across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers. Every unit that moves through a fulfillment center depends on our systems to know what inventory exists, where it is, and whether it can be promised to a customer. Operating at this scale is uniquely complex: our systems must stay accurate and available in real time across billions of units and thousands of concurrent operations.
We are constantly innovating in how we track, reserve, and reconcile inventory - building on real-time events and data using cloud-based distributed systems. Our technology landscape spans cutting-edge AWS services and front-end technologies like React.
