The opportunityAs a Technology Service Delivery Staff, you'll be based in our Service Delivery Center, which is made up of high-performing US-based colleagues who work closely with our experienced advisory professionals. We deliver Technology project-based work and managed services to our clients. Here, you'll work as part of a project team and will be responsible for the design, build/configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of Technology solutions. This position is fast-paced and ever-changing, which means you'll need to be a flexible self-starter and be able to manage changing priorities and learning new and rapidly changing technology solutions.
We are looking for Backend Engineers who will support the design and development of server-side services, APIs, and data integrations for our financial services clients. The team leverages Java, Spring and Spring Boot, RESTful and SOAP web services, microservices architectures, relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms such as Kafka, and cloud technologies to build secure, scalable, and high-performing back-end systems. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you will build your skills across the full delivery lifecycle under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesThe goal is to help clients solve complex business problems by delivering robust enterprise solutions. You will assist with analysis, development, testing, and support, learn the team's tools and standards, and contribute to assigned workstreams under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
Skills and attributes for success- Foundational knowledge of building server-side services, APIs, and integrations using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services, with support from experienced colleagues.
- Foundational knowledge of microservices concepts and messaging or event streaming platforms such as Kafka or JMS.
- Foundational knowledge of relational and NoSQL database design and SQL, including writing and tuning queries and stored procedures.
- Foundational knowledge of containerization and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
- Foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Assist with development, testing, and support tasks, and contribute to assigned workstreams.
- Learn and apply the team's code quality, security, testing, and automation standards.
- Eagerness to learn new and rapidly changing technologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
To qualify for the role you must have- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in enterprise application development.
- Exposure to Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
- Foundational knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and web services.
- Exposure to SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka or JMS.
- Exposure to Git, CI/CD, and unit testing concepts.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Ideally, you'll also have- Experience with the following technologies

What we offer you- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
- New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices - $66,600 to $123,200
- Bay Area California offices - $69,300 to $128,500
- All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento - $55,400 to $113,000
- Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
