Sheppard Pratt School in Rockville is a nonpublic special education day school serving students ages 5-21 (grades K-12) with a range of needs including autism, development delay, emotional disability, multiple disabilities, other health impairments, specific learning disability, and speech or language impairments. This role will join a collaborative learning environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of the students in our care. This role offers rich, entry level, experience in special education.
What to expect.
You will promote the health and well-being of our students, ensuring they have access to quality medical care and support through their educational journey.
You will provide comprehensive nursing care to students with various medical needs, including but not limited to medication, administration wound care, and first aid.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with caregivers to provide medical treatment as indicated by student's health needs and history.
- Supporting the school psychiatrist in medication management.
- Maintaining cumulative and comprehensive documentation for each student's health record.

The pay range for this position is $62,386.69 minimum to $99,600.18 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- An associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Possession of a valid license to practice nursing in the State of Maryland:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 1 year of working experience in a school setting preferred.
