Binnie is seeking a Scheduler to join our Transportation Major Projects Division in Burnaby, BC. Our team provides Owner's Engineer and Project Delivery services on some of the province's largest and most complex transportation infrastructure projects, supporting clients through planning, design, procurement, and construction.
As a Scheduler, you'll play a critical role in project success. Working alongside experienced project managers, engineers, and technical specialists, you'll develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your insights will help teams understand schedule performance, identify risks and opportunities, forecast completion timelines, and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.

This is a full-time position based in our Burnaby office, conveniently located near scenic Deer Lake.
YOUR ROLE:
- Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules throughout the project lifecycle, including baselines, progress updates, and revisions
- Monitor schedule performance against baselines and key milestones, performing critical path, float, and variance analysis to assess impacts
- Forecast completion dates and milestone outcomes, and identify schedule risks, delays, and emerging issues
- Evaluate the impact of change requests, scope modifications, and project constraints on schedule performance
- Develop lookahead schedules and support short-term planning to improve execution
- Prepare and present schedule reports, dashboards, and updates for project teams and stakeholders
- Partner closely with Project Managers and project teams to provide schedule insights, risks, and recovery options
- Support integrated project controls by aligning schedule data with cost and performance information
- Perform quantitative schedule risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations to incorporate probabilistic completion dates at different confidence levels
- Contribute to the development and improvement of scheduling processes, tools, and reporting frameworks
- Ensure schedule data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems and reporting outputs
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years of project scheduling or project controls experience in an engineering, construction, infrastructure, or project delivery environment
- Experience supporting complex, multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., transit, highways, utilities, facilities, or similar)
- Strong understanding of project scheduling principles, including critical path method, sequencing, float analysis, resource loading and quantitative risk analysis
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, forecasts, and progress updates
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Primavera Cloud, MS Project and/or other scheduling tools
- Proficiency with [redacted] or other Monto Carlo simulation software for performing advanced risk modelling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret schedule performance data and trends
- Ability to identify schedule risks and develop mitigation or recovery recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to schedule data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to operate with a high degree of independence while aligning with project objectives

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $95,000 - $140,000 Annually. The final salary for this role may vary based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
