The SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing end-to-end project management processes within the SAP ecosystem. This role partners closely with operational, finance, and compliance teams to ensure project planning, execution, budgeting, and reporting align with organizational and regulatory requirements. The consultant leverages SAP best practices to enable efficient, transparent, and auditable project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze business requirements related to project planning, budgeting, cost management, resource allocation, and compliance
- Configure and support SAP PS components and integrations with other modules such as FI/CO, FM, MM, SD, and HCM
- Implement end-to-end project solutions that ensure accuracy, transparency, and regulatory adherence
- Design and maintain project structures (WBS, networks, activities), approval workflows, settlement rules, and cost controls
- Create functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational standards, audit requirements, and funding or grant regulations
- Provide user training and develop documentation tailored for project managers, finance teams, and operational stakeholders
- Support testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT) and lead change-management activities
- Stay current on SAP innovations related to Project Systems and adjacent modules
Here's what you need:- 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP PS or related modules (FI/CO, FM, MM, SD)
- Strong understanding of project management processes, budgeting, cost control, and compliance
- Experience designing SAP PS solutions, workflow configurations, and process mapping
- Ability to translate business requirements into SAP functional designs
- Knowledge of funding structures, budgeting cycles, and approval hierarchies
Nice to have:- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Sector and SAP Ariba
- Familiarity with public-sector regulations (Federal, State, Local), including competitive bidding requirements
- SAP certifications in PS, FI/CO, or related modules
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

- Must be eligible to obtain a government clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
