Job Summary
The SAP Project Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of SAP migration projects involving platforms and solutions such as S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, and SuccessFactors. The role involves managing project plans, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies while coordinating functional and technical teams, integration teams, and system integrator partners. The Project Manager will oversee the complete project lifecycle, including testing, data migration, cutover, training, go-live readiness, and transition to support. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP program delivery experience, project governance expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage the delivery of SAP migration projects involving S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, SuccessFactors, and related SAP solutions.
• Build and maintain project plans, budgets, resource plans, and RAID logs.
• Report project status, progress, risks, and dependencies to executive sponsors and steering committees.
• Coordinate functional leads, technical leads, integration teams, and system integrator partners.
• Manage project scope, change requests, vendor contracts, and Statement of Work (SOW) compliance.
• Oversee testing, data migration, cutover, training, and go-live readiness activities.
• Apply SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies as appropriate.
• Drive project governance, quality assurance, and compliance with applicable SOX, audit, and security controls.
• Ensure a smooth transition to support teams and manage post-go-live hypercare activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of overall IT experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering SAP programs in the United States.
• Experience delivering at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations or major rollouts.
• Strong understanding of project management practices, including budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Working knowledge of SAP modules and architecture, with the ability to engage effectively with functional and technical teams.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or SAP Activate certification.
• Experience with S/4HANA transformation or RISE with SAP.
• Background in the utilities industry.
• Experience managing offshore or onshore-offshore delivery teams.
