Full Job Description
You Are:

You are as comfortable leading development teams and owning technical architecture as you are diving into the details of Clean Core extensibility, ABAP Cloud, and BTP. You bring the communication and people skills to inspire teams to bring their A-game and to advise senior client stakeholders with confidence.

The Work:
  • Lead the design, build, and test of SAP custom development and extensibility solutions on S/4HANA and BTP, primarily using ABAP Cloud, RAP, CAP, Fiori, and Clean Core methodologies.
  • Drive the transition from classic ABAP to Clean Core; guide custom-code remediation and released-API adoption.
  • Own technical design for workstreams; conduct code reviews, architecture sign-offs, and design workshops.
  • Leverage Generative AI Hub / Joule Studio to infuse development with SAP Business AI where applicable.
  • Guide and mentor global delivery teams; communicate effectively across technical levels and geographies.


Travel may be required for this role, from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

What You Need:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience developing SAP applications using S/4HANA ABAP (NetWeaver 7.4/7.5) and ABAP Cloud.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with SAP BTP tools and services (latest Application Development and Automation stack).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with data modeling using CDS views, AMDP, OData, or related custom development.
  • Minimum of 3 years SAP custom development using Fiori-first, Clean Core, and BTP side-by-side approaches, including RAP.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership role (code reviews, architecture sign-offs, client workshops).
  • Prior experience supporting the Chemicals & Natural Resources industry/clients
  • Prior experience in a Consulting/Advisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.


Bonus Points If:
  • You have 1+ years with Cloud Application Programming
  • You've earned an SAP certification in ABAP Cloud, BTP (Developer or Solution Architect), or SAP Business AI / Generative AI.
  • You have hands-on exposure to SAP Build (Build Apps, Build Process Automation, Build Work Zone) and CAP (Node.js / Java).
  • You have DevOps for SAP - Git-based transport / gCTS, CI/CD, and automated testing (e.g., ABAP Unit, ADT).
  • You have familiarity with SAP Business AI - Joule, Joule Studio, and Generative AI Hub grounding / RAG patterns.
