Summary

The SAP Analyst, IT Solutions, will collaborate with business functions to support and maintain the SAP ERP System across the enterprise. This role involves assisting in the collection and analysis of business requirements, participating in SAP initiatives, supporting system testing and integrations, and helping with user training. The Analyst acts as a supportive bridge between business stakeholders and the technical SAP delivery teams to ensure day-to-day solutions and enhancements meet operational goals.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, and assist in translating them into functional specifications for SAP solutions.
  • Assist with configuration, testing, and implementation activities within SAP.
  • Provide first and second-level support for system issues, assist in analyzing root causes, and work alongside internal IT teams or Application Management Services partners to deploy fixes.
  • Participate in SAP transformation projects by assisting with data validation, executing testing cycles, and supporting cutover activities.
  • Help facilitate system training and assist in creating and maintaining user documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for end-users.
  • Assist with system integration monitoring and tasks (EDI/ALE/IDocs, APIs) between SAP and local systems (e.g., PLM, MES, Data Warehouse).
  • Follow established guidelines to ensure compliance with IT governance, data management, and security standards.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Basic to good understanding of core business processes in manufacturing and supply chain (e.g., Order Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance).
  • Foundational knowledge or exposure to at least one or two core SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, PP, SD, FICO, or WM).
  • Familiarity with the areas of Master Data, Production and Non-Production PR/PO, Scheduling Agreement, PIR, Release Strategy, ROP, Forecasting, IM, GR, GI, Scrap, Physical Inventory, Cycle Counting, Batch Management, Order Management, and Shipping is a plus.
  • Good analytical, technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to help translate technical concepts into language that business users can understand.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts, including Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to create or assist in creating functional requirement documents (FRDs), test scripts, and process flowcharts.
  • Strong customer service orientation, teamwork, and communication skills.


Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
