Job Summary
The SAP AFS / S/4HANA Solution Architect will provide architecture leadership across SAP ECC, SAP AFS (Apparel & Footwear Solution), and SAP S/4HANA environments. The role involves advising the Application Management Services (AMS) delivery team, reviewing solution designs and enhancement requests, resolving complex technical issues, and aligning SAP solutions with long-term technology roadmaps. The architect will support current SAP landscape operations while guiding future S/4HANA transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on retail, apparel, and fashion business processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide SAP architecture leadership across ECC, AFS, and S/4HANA environments.
• Serve as the primary architecture advisor to the AMS delivery team.
• Review and approve solution designs, enhancements, and technical approaches.
• Support SAP roadmap planning and future S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
• Provide guidance on SAP AFS-specific processes, custom developments, and best practices.
• Guide functional and technical teams in developing scalable, maintainable, and supportable solutions.
• Support the resolution of complex production incidents and lead root cause analysis efforts.
• Conduct architecture reviews to improve solution quality, system stability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and AMS resources.
• Mentor delivery teams on SAP architecture standards and best practices.
• Bridge the gap between existing SAP ECC/AFS environments and future S/4HANA architecture and transformation plans.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of SAP experience, including significant solution architecture responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in SAP AFS (Apparel & Footwear Solution).
• Strong SAP ECC architecture and support experience.
• Experience implementing and/or supporting SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP integration architecture.
• Experience supporting SAP AMS and enhancement-driven environments.
• Strong understanding of custom SAP development landscapes.
• Strong understanding of Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Finance & Controlling (FI/CO).
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, SAP integrations, and retail, apparel, and fashion business processes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing consulting skills.
• Ability to provide hands-on technical guidance when complex issues arise.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience improving solution quality through architecture governance and technical oversight.
• Experience advising architecture teams and AMS delivery organizations on SAP best practices and long-term technology strategy.
