Position OverviewWe are seeking a board certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our UHS Upper Front Street Medical Center- Same Day Clinic Provider.
This is a busy, Family Medicine out-patient practice in a well-established office and we are looking for a Family Medicine provider to handle same day appointments and wellness visits as needed for infants to adult patients.
This position is 100% outpatient.
Office hours Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with no call.
Primary Department, Division, or Unit:UHS Primary Care Upper Front Street
Annual Compensation Range:$131,900 - $155,200
Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient's primary healthcare provider.
Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
- Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
License/CertificationMinimum Required:
- Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License or Physician Assistant License.
- Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment
- Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS
Preferred:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number
