Job DescriptionWhat Work You Will be Responsible For:
- Managing sales tax compliance process for clients sales tax returns on the state and local tax (SALT) team (SUT).
- Managing information and people related to sales tax compliance
- Interacting with clients and managing staff
- Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
- Managing registrations and business licenses for clients
- Interacting with other state and local tax professionals as well as other professionals at the firm
Basic Qualifications - 2+ years experience with sales tax compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx
- Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications: - CMI (sales tax) designation a plus
- CPA
