30th September, 2026A fast-growing captive finance company serving a major heavy equipment manufacturer is hiring its first dedicated insurance professional. This is not a maintenance role. It is a ground-floor opportunity to design, launch, and own an in-contract physical damage insurance program, working directly with company leadership and a national carrier partner, in an organization that has grown to over a billion dollars in receivables in under four years.
You will be the company's Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP), responsible for the licensing, compliance, and day-to-day operation of a program built from scratch. If you want to build something you can point to, and you are tired of maintaining someone else's system, this is that opportunity.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE - A smoothly running insurance program that dealers rarely have to escalate about, because turnaround and service simply work.
- Fast, reliable certificate-of-insurance turnaround for dealer and customer needs.
- A successful rollout of a second insurance product expected to significantly increase program volume, without becoming a bottleneck.
- A program dealers and leadership see as a genuine sales enabler, on par with the frictionless, point-of-sale insurance attachment offered by the industry's largest equipment brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Serve as the company's Designated Responsible Licensed Producer, owning resident and non-resident insurance agency and producer licensing across all operating states.
- Build and maintain compliance policies and procedures in partnership with outside counsel.
- Own the day-to-day relationship with the carrier and program administrator, including reporting, rate files, and issue escalation.
- Train and support dealer personnel on insurance sales conduct, program mechanics, and approved materials.
- Partner with Credit, Operations, Sales, and IT to integrate insurance rating and issuance with internal systems as the program matures.
- Support customers and dealers directly with coverage questions, documentation, and issue resolution.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS - Program runs smoothly with minimal dealer complaints or escalations.
- Consistent, fast turnaround on insurance documentation and certificates.
- Successful support of program growth and new product rollout without service degradation.
- Strong, trusted working relationships across dealer network, carrier partner, and internal teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS - Active resident Property & Casualty insurance producer license, with eligibility to serve as a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer.
- Willingness and ability to obtain non-resident producer licenses as needed.
- Five or more years of commercial insurance experience, ideally including physical damage, inland marine, contractor's equipment, or related commercial property coverages.
- Experience with heavy equipment, industrial, construction, or transportation assets strongly preferred.
- Comfort operating as the sole insurance professional in a lean, fast-moving organization, with support from outside counsel and a carrier partner.
- Self-starter with a builder's mindset, able to design/stand up a program rather than maintain an existing one.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with dealers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Prefer prior experience as a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer, or in an agency compliance role.
- Prefer background supporting equipment finance, leasing, or captive finance organizations.
- Prefer familiarity with collateral protection requirements and loss payee administration.
