Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement successful Sales and Marketing strategies for High Performance Materials in the USA and Canada.
  • Manage customer relations regarding pricing, terms, evaluations, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to create customer-centric solutions.
  • Define and execute strategic goals with Division Managers to foster growth.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed customer interaction reports in CRM.
  • Generate and analyze marketing intelligence to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Initiate contact with potential customers to expand the technical capabilities and product offerings.
  • Travel extensively (50%+) to enhance sales efforts; attend trade shows and industry conferences.

Full Job Description
Position type: Exempt 1. Develop and ensure the success of Sales and Marketing strategies for PLANSEEs High Performance Materials products and services related to the assigned business segments within PLANSEE' s defined region within the USA and Canada. 2. Provides commercial management to customers relating to price, terms, evaluation, and delivery. Educate customers on PLANSEE's materials, capabilities, and technical expertise along with our Digitalization Tools (My Plansee, Plansee Online Shop) 3. Capable of working in a teamwork fostered environment with engineers, production, and other technical personnel to come up with solutions to benefit the customer. Works with product management, inside sales, and outside sales representatives to overcome business objections of prospective customers. Keeps account roadmap activities and literature up to date. Oversees audit of customer consignment inventories where applicable. 4. Introduce and execute strategic goals in collaboration with the Business Division North America Managers to ensure growth within the assigned Business Segments. Care for and deal with important customers personally (key accounting). Accompany and support employees in difficult sales negotiations and price discussions. 5. Prepares customer conversation reports within CRM (Customer Relationship Management) including customer visits, calls, and emails regularly. Provide monthly and quarterly reviews of sales, travel summaries and analysis of account growth, profitability, potential, and forecast. 6. Responsible creating Marketing intelligence by updating CCM (Customer Competitor Matrix) regularly and provide analytical data to analyze trends, market studies, and business opportunities, implement segment strategy, manage contribution margins, optimize market positioning, market presence and services; provide data for the annual planning procedure and set targets for the annual budget. 7. Leverage PLANSEEs high performance material science to differentiate products to the marketplace. Increase current customer base by initiating contact with prospective customers for adding new technical capabilities and diversifying our product offering along with promoting Plansee Digital Tools. 8. Travel is expected at a minimum of 50% to increase sales within the assigned market units. 9. Participation in industry trades shows and conferences, sales meetings, and periodic planned visits to Global headquarters in Austria and other PLANSEE facilities throughout the world as required. Make sure that customers are constantly informed about the contents and innovations of the HPM range of offers. Other duties as required. Qualifications and Skills 1. BS degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field. An equivalent combination of directly related experience and education may be considered. 2. At least five to seven years industrial sales and marketing experience in a business-to- business environment. 3. Solid proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of SAP R/3 sales module desired. 4. Proven leadership abilities, organization, and time management skills. 5. Demonstration of strong written and verbal communication skills as well as effective interaction at all levels and across diverse cultures. 6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, and prospects. 7. Familiarity with Market Intelligence Tools such as CRM and CCM. 8. Willingness to travel 50% of the time, domestically and internationally. 9. Ability to meet requirements to work on ITAR and export control restricted projects. The base compensation for this position is between 90-120k annually, commensurate with skill and experience level. This role will also be bonus eligible.
