  • Maintain dealership CRM and ensure staff are trained in its use

  • Create a sense of ownership in the sales process for high customer satisfaction
  • Directly manage demonstration vehicles within company policy

Full Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for both new and pre-owned vehicle department profitability and total customer retention. The Sales Manager will effectively manage all sales personnel, have a strong knowledge of the market, a strong automotive background, and an in-depth understanding of all sales department financial requirements. A successful Sales Manager must possess a high level of customer relations skills. The Sales Manager is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards in every aspect of the job.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve monthly vehicle sales, gross profit, and expense forecasts for both New and Pre-Owned Sales Departments
  • Implement actions and strategies to achieve sales and gross profits objectives, Customer Service Objectives, and staffing objectives
  • Hire, train, and maintain a competent and qualified sales team including managers and Sales Leasing Consultants
  • Ensure staff is adequately trained and prepared to implement a uniform sales process. The General Sales Manager is expected to provide in dealership guidance and training for all sales staff
  • Merchandise all elements of the showroom and lot to ensure a "Customer First" experience!
  • Manage New and Pre-Owned inventory in accordance with industry best practices and company standards. Including all pre-owned vehicle appraisals
  • Meeting as required, with the dealership's General Manager to review performance for each department. Work with the General Manager to provide applicable solutions and strategies to improve metrics
  • Work with eCommerce Department to ensure dealership websites are updated regularly and contain timely special offers and inventory is being displayed on the website in the most effective way possible
  • Manage and maintain the dealership CRM. Ensure that all staff is trained and utilizing the CRM to maximize its efficiency
  • Train all sales staff to effectively communicate with customers in all platforms
  • Manage and create a sense of ownership when assisting customers to ensure that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained at all times
  • Directly manage all demonstration vehicles within company policy

Qualifications
