Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Regional Sales Manager - North America - West

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of B&R products/systems/services within a designated market, in line with the division strategy. Functions as a commercial hunter focused on identifying, qualifying, and converting new prospects into customers while managing the full sales funnel. Achieves both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

The work model for the role is: Remote (Must be in Illinois) {#LI-Remote}

This role is contributing to the Automation B&R division in the US.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Proactively identify, prequalify, and engage new prospects using structured prospecting and first-meeting strategies; develop and execute Target Account Business Plans to continuously expand the customer base.
  • Qualify and advance sales opportunities throughout the funnel, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets; perform regular pipeline reviews and propose recovery plans in the event of order shortfalls.
  • Discover and engage the full buying center at target accounts, building and sustaining relationships with all key stakeholders and decision-makers across the organization.
  • Apply technical knowledge to deliver in-depth presentations and discussions; identify and develop the best technical solution and strategy aligned with customer application needs and B&R's product, systems, and services offerings.
  • Manage all commercial elements including pricing, negotiation, contract compliance, and trading conditions in line with ABB/B&R standards; prepare offers in coordination with bid, proposal, and Marketing resources.

Qualifications for the role

  • Experience with account management, business development & adoption, contract management, sales enablement, and general sales practices
  • Experience in customer experience success, pricing excellence, and budget & performance targets
  • Experience with Machine and Motion Control products
  • Familiarity with industrial automation market
  • Experience with Programmable Controllers, Industrial PCs, HMI, Servo Drives, or Motion Control solutions
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport with no barriers to Domestic and international travel; up to 35% in North America; occasional international travel
