Job Description/Responsibilities
BuzzBallz is seeking a hands-on Safety / EHS Coordinator to help lead and strengthen our safety culture within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of comprehensive safety and environmental programs, delivering employee training, identifying and correcting workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements. The Safety / EHS Coordinator will partner closely with employees and leadership across the facility to investigate incidents, reduce workplace injuries, support environmental compliance, and continually improve workplace safety.
What You’ll Do
- Support and continuously improve comprehensive safety and environmental programs designed to achieve a safe, compliant workplace and move toward zero recordable injuries
- Conduct safety training, new employee orientation, and ongoing education while reinforcing safe work practices across manufacturing operations
- Perform workplace inspections and risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and partner with operational teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Lead and document investigations involving accidents, injuries, environmental incidents, property damage, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
- Support OSHA and environmental regulatory compliance, including required documentation, reporting, audits, MSDS/SDS administration, and safety program management
- Coordinate emergency response programs, including first aid, CPR/AED, spill response, incident response, and other facility preparedness initiatives
- Monitor safety performance metrics, including Injury Recordable Rate, workers' compensation costs, training completion, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications/Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required, with the ability to effectively communicate safety information, training, and expectations in both languages
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), occupational safety, environmental compliance, or manufacturing safety
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and related compliance requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Experience supporting EHS programs within food and beverage, alcohol beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other manufacturing environments
- Experience with OSHA compliance, incident investigation, workers' compensation, emergency response, and environmental programs
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, or other relevant EHS credentials
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment within an active manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in areas with elevated noise levels and other typical manufacturing conditions
- Ability to walk and move throughout the facility to conduct inspections, investigations, training, and safety assessments
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift and overtime as business needs require
- Regular, reliable, in-person attendance is required

Compensation: $74,000 – $92,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and interview performance.
