Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments.
Required Skills- Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Experience building RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms (Devise, JWT, OAuth).
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Preferred Skills- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Knowledge of background job processing using Sidekiq or Resque.
- Experience with Redis and caching strategies.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of GraphQL and WebSockets.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or Solr.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Experience developing enterprise web applications is preferred.
