Job DescriptionDescription:- The Client'sand the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) require a Business Architect to support the enhancement of the Forest Resources Inventory Information Management System (FRI IMS) and update its Enterprise Architecture (EA). The Business Architect will assess business capabilities, define target business outcomes, optimize business processes, and develop key EA deliverables required for governance approvals.
- The role will support the modernization of FRI IMS, including the implementation of centralized data storage using Databricks and Azure Storage, public-facing data exchange capabilities, and a cloud-based data processing and analytics platform. The Business Architect will lead the development of business architecture artifacts and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities: - Analyzesgovernment information pertinent to business architecture, consults withappropriate government contacts on specific business architecture elementsand conducts focus group workshops.
- Developsand maintains business capabilities of the enterprise in line with thecorporate strategy as well as contributing to the business strategy andplans.
- Develops/revisesbusiness architecture artefacts as part of the Enterprise InformationArchitecture (EIA) Federated Framework and ensures that these arevertically integrated
- Modelsbusiness at enterprise and/or core business levels.
This also includes: - Designof capability models and related architectural solutions of businesstasks, mapping capability functionality to the internal and externalresources,
- Developingbusiness transformation plans jointly with senior businessmanagement,
- Handlingbusiness solutions to the delivery and operational business functions ofthe company
- Developingand maintaining architectural governance and controls overimplementation
- Foreach step of the business transformation plan, business architectscontribute in development of a blueprint of the enterprise in order topromote a common understanding of the organization and alignment ofstrategic objectives with tactical demands.
The project teams consist of you, a Sr. IT Business Architect (lead), project leads, product manager, solution designer, service designer, QA tester, business analysts, subject matter experts and other project team members. The project team will work though the AGP engagements with the Client's Enterprise Architecture team and Corporate Enterprise Architecture Review Board

- Creationof alignment of the Business Architecture Document to the SolutionRequirements Document (SRD) and the Information Architecture Document(IAD), as per OPS standards and industry best practices, ensuring verticalintegration.
Skill Set Requirements:Enterprise Architecture Engagement Leadership Experience:- TotalIT experience of at least 10 years, out of which 5 years doing BusinessArchitecture on large complex projects
- Excellentcommunication, concept visualization, facilitation, stakeholdermanagement, negotiation, consensus building, and problem- solvingskills.
- Experiencecollaborating with executives and senior management.
- Successfullycompleted Business and Information Architectures at the enterprise and/orcore business levels for governments or large organizations
- Contributedto the successful transformation of government or large organizationprogram delivery by applying Business Architecture practices
- Abilityto work across Projects in a Portfolio, and across Portfolios.
- Leadingproject teams through the enterprise engagement process.
Enterprise Architecture Checkpoint Documentation Experience:- Provenability in designing optimized future versions of business areas.
- Provenability in horizontal business integration ( i.e. identifying commonelements, and delineation points)
- Knowledgeof or experience in Government of Ontario Information Technology Standards(GO-ITS) for Architecture.
- Experiencein developing business architectures using Ontario Government EnterpriseArchitecture methodologies and GO-ITS.
- Developmentof Program Area(s) Business Architecture and corresponding BusinessArchitecture Documentation (BAD) according to OPS standards and industrybest practices.
