Position Summary
Badger Technologies is seeking a Robotics Project Manager to join its team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will lead medium to large-scale robotics and product development initiatives from concept through deployment. You will serve as the driving force behind project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing schedules and budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of innovative robotic solutions.
What can you expect to do?
- Lead and manage robotics and product development projects from concept through implementation.
- Develop project charters, business proposals, project plans, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and implementation strategies.
- Define project goals, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Partner with engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, software, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage project scope, timelines, quality, cost, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues when needed.
- Forecast project budgets, staffing requirements, and resource needs.
- Own overall project performance, including schedule adherence, cost management, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and track project KPIs and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps with clear milestones and deliverables.
- Provide regular status updates and executive-level communications to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Lead change management activities and evaluate potential impacts to cost, schedule, and scope.
- Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams, business units, and organizational levels.
- Build, mentor, and motivate project teams to achieve business and customer objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, operational performance, and team effectiveness.
- Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, security, and quality standards.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related technical field preferred.
- 6+ years of project management experience supporting medium to large-scale projects within a high-tech product development environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and complex project deliverables.
- Experience with robotics development, autonomous systems, automation, or engineering services is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs is strongly desired.
- PMP certification or progress toward PMP certification is preferred.
- Ability to succeed in a startup-style environment where processes and procedures may still be evolving.
- Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Strong risk management and change management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment focused on innovation and product development.
