Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton is seeking a dedicated and experienced
RN Unit Manager to join our clinical leadership team. The RN Unit Manager will oversee the day-to-day nursing operations of an assigned unit while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Job SummaryThe RN Unit Manager will provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, coordinate resident care, monitor compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards, and promote a positive environment for residents, families, and employees.
Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned nursing unit.
- Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
- Ensure residents receive individualized, safe, and quality care.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor residents' changes in condition.
- Review and ensure accurate completion of nursing documentation and medical records.
- Coordinate care plans and collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation staff, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care, concerns, and changes in condition.
- Monitor medication administration and ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, and coverage as needed.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
- Participate in staff education, training, and competency programs.
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents.
Qualifications- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
- Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a nursing team.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and resident care standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
