Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is an Integral member of the multidisciplinary team. The Operating Room Registered Nurse utilizes his/her knowledge, judgment and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients under his/her supervision during peri-operative period. The Registered Nurse practice involves diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential problems, and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and wellbeing. In addition it is a role of collaboration, coordination of services, and patient/family education.

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Must possess current New York State license or current permit.
  3. Previous O.R. experience preferred.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  5. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  6. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or organization.
  7. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  8. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  9. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  10. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range:

$38.63 - $55.19 per hour
