Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our leadership team. The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned nursing unit
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with their individualized care plans
- Monitor residents' conditions and ensure changes are identified and addressed appropriately
- Review documentation, physician orders, care plans, and other clinical records
- Coordinate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in admissions, assessments, care planning, and discharge planning
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and support as needed
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate coverage for the unit
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and quality standards
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Promote teamwork and a positive work environment
- Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Provide support and leadership to the nursing team during daily operations
Qualifications- Current and valid Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred
- Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a nursing team
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing standards
- Strong commitment to quality resident care
