Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Services Manager covers 24 hour administrative and clinical leadership according to the HCA Mission, Vision, and Values. This first-line manager plans, coordinates, and manages elements such as scheduling, personnel, and other resources in order to provide the highest quality care with trained, professional, and competent staff in a safe and efficient manner. They will partner with their peers, leadership and providers in maintaining the growth and success of the cardiovascular services department. They will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other health care disciplines to assure efficient, cost-effective patient care. They will supervise the scheduling component for procedures done in the cardiovascular services department. They will also communicate with revenue services as well as billing and coding to support revenue integrity in the cardiovascular services.

The Cardiovascular Services Manager will manage daily operations by continually planning, managing, implementing and evaluating operations/services to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness. They will implement strategies and programs to incorporate evidence-based tactics, technologies, and services to enhance the level of care provided to patients. Under the guidance of the Cardiovascular Services Director, the Cardiovascular Services Manager will share responsibilities with their colleagues in the cardiovascular services department and supervise inpatient Clinical Nurse Coordinators as well as front-facing staff in their day-to-day performance, ensuring that department goals and milestones are met.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting
