About the roleThe Risk & Quality Manager coordinates the organization's Quality Assurance and Performance
Improvement (QA/QI) program, risk management activities, policy administration, and regulatory compliance efforts. Working collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams, this position promotes continuous quality improvement, organizational compliance, and effective governance through quality reporting, policy management, committee coordination, and risk assessment. The Risk & Quality Manager conducts compliance and quality audits, supports licensure and regulatory requirements, coordinates insurance administration and liability renewals, assesses insurance needs for community events and organizational activities, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and manage organizational risk while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
What you'll doESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement
- Coordinates the organization's QA/QI program and supports continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinates Committee meetings and collaborative efforts with service providers and partners.
- Monitors quality metrics, prepares reports and dashboards, and presents findings to leadership and committees.
- Supports departments in developing, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement plans.
- Assists with regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation readiness.
- Collaborates with the Data Analytics function to leverage data across EHR, Salesforce, and other organizational systems to monitor performance, communicate organizational impact, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Coordinates incident reporting, investigation, trend analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
- Supports organizational compliance activities by maintaining documentation and assisting with regulatory reviews.
- Coordinates Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and maintains insurance documentation.
- Supports the annual liability insurance renewal process by coordinating information requests with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Policies & Performance
- Collaborates with the QA/QI Committee and other cross-functional committees to coordinate the organization's policy review and renewal process.
- Educates policy owners on policy standards, review requirements, and governance processes.
- Coordinates policy revisions, approvals, distribution, and version control.
- Collaborates with the Director, Executive Office, to facilitate Board policy submissions and approvals.
- Understands, adheres to and enforces QueensCare's policies and procedures in the performance of work duties and supervision of staff.
- Reviews, develops and recommends policies for approval to the Board of Directors.
- Uses discretion and good judgment in handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Performs in an ethical, professional and courteous manner, using discretion and exercising good judgement.
- Expected to uphold organizational standards of professionalism, accountability, ethics, and integrity, while fostering a respectful and high-performing work environment.
- Responsibilities include providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback, addressing performance or conduct concerns in a timely manner, and utilizing progressive counseling, when appropriate, to support employee accountability and development.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare quality, compliance, risk management, or healthcare administration.
- Experience coordinating quality improvement, policy management, or accreditation activities preferred.

The pay range for this role is:94,000-117,000 USD per year (US)
