Job Title: Risk Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical/management leadership for Program Kick-Off Meeting coordination discussing technical, management, staffing, security, and risk

  • Establishes Program Kick-Off Meeting Agenda strategy addressing POCs, roles, responsibilities, security requirements, and risk management

  • Directs weekly status reporting establishing priorities and coordinating risk and issue resolution using Integrated Operational Dashboards

  • Establishes PMP including enterprise WBS with at least three levels and comprehensive risk management approach

  • Directs project support across all TO activities establishing Risk and Issue Register management for POA&M remediation and system upgrades

  • Directs monthly CSR strategy maintaining meeting minutes and tracking action items across global enterprise

  • Establishes Stakeholder Management Plan strategy including escalation paths and decision authorities for resolving stakeholder issues

  • Provides technical/management leadership on major assignments, establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives, and directs activities with overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing

Qualifications:

Required –

  • BA/BS + 13 years of relevant experience; equivalencies considered

  • Active Secret clearance

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise program and project risk management across large-scale, complex IT environments

  • Demonstrated experience establishing and governing risk management frameworks, methodologies, Risk and Issue Registers, escalation criteria, and mitigation strategies across multiple projects or task areas

  • Experience identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing technical, schedule, cost, security, operational, staffing, and programmatic risks and their impacts to program objectives

  • Demonstrated experience developing risk mitigation, contingency, and corrective action strategies, including management of dependencies, issues, and POA&M remediation activities

  • Experience establishing risk metrics, dashboards, reporting, and executive-level briefings to communicate risk exposure, trends, mitigation status, and recommended actions to senior leadership and Government stakeholders

  • Experience integrating risk management with Program Management Plans (PMPs), WBS structures, project schedules, performance management, and stakeholder management processes

  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and methodologies and applying risk management principles within enterprise IT service delivery environments

  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic risk leadership, facilitate cross-functional risk reviews, resolve competing priorities, and advise senior stakeholders on risk-based decisions

Desired –

  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of State

  • Experience supporting large-scale, geographically dispersed or global enterprise IT programs

  • Experience with Federal risk management, cybersecurity, POA&M, and compliance environments

  • PMP, PMI-RMP, ITIL, or related risk/program management certification

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
