Title:

RF Engineer

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and evaluate RF subsystems, components, and architectures to meet mission and program requirements.
  • Perform RF modeling, simulation, link budget analysis, and performance assessments to support design decisions.
  • Develop and review technical requirements, interface documentation, and engineering artifacts.
  • Support system integration, verification, validation, and test activities in laboratory and operational environments.
  • Conduct technical trade studies and recommend solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Analyze test data, identify performance issues, and develop corrective actions and technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with government, contractor, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the system lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience supporting RF systems engineering, development, testing, or analysis.
  • Experience working with RF communications, radar, electronic warfare, SIGINT, or related technologies.
  • Proficiency with RF analysis tools such as MATLAB, ADS, CST, HFSS, or equivalent engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, signal analysis, and performance characterization.
  • Experience supporting system integration and formal test activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or national security programs.
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing, wireless communications, or satellite communications systems.
  • Experience conducting requirements analysis and systems engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
  • Experience supporting acquisition, sustainment, or integration of large-scale RF systems.

Basic Compensation:

$248,100 to $372,200 annually

This range is for the Virginia area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
