Full Job Description
Due to our internal growth and recent acquisitions, our Retirement team is adding a Retirement Account Executive/Team Lead to our Buffalo office! This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting Lawley Retirement associates and managing a dedicated book of business of Lawley Retirement clients. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in a similar position, leadership experience, and a Series 7 and 66 OR Series 65 license or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days. These are the fundamental responsibilities of the job: • Lead, coach, and support Lawley Retirement associates reinforcing clear expectations, accountability, collaboration, and consistent service standards. • This position manages a dedicated book of business of Lawley Retirement clients supporting retirement plan design, making recommendations, preparing proposals and facilitating presentations for clients / participants. • Monitors retirement team work flow, service delivery, follow-through, and client experience; identifies trends and implements improvements to efficiency and productivity. • Lead the retirement team's integration work for mergers and acquisitions, including onboarding acquired associates, clients, workflows, provider relationships, technology, and service practices. • Coordinate with Lawley Retirement Sales team to establish clear handoffs, effectively onboard new clients, and maintain consistent ongoing service support. • Reach and maintain retention goal of 95% or greater. • Serve as an expert and mentor, actively coach and develop team members in retirement topics including but not limited to retirement offerings, clients and systems. • Attend and participate in all leadership programs, workshops and training sessions to build and maintain effective leadership skills; model professionalism and integrity while guiding the team toward shared goals. • Maintains consistent and dependable attendance, availability, and punctuality as required to effectively perform the essential functions of the position. Other functions of the job: • Expand and grow in your role when supporting miscellaneous duties as requested. Skills / Traits that we value for this role: • 3 years or more related experience within the retirement plan industry, which would include the following type of experience: retirement plan client relationship management, retirement plan participant education experience, related corporate retirement plan experience or individual investment experience. • Prior leadership experience in the retirement industry preferred. • Bachelor's Degree preferred. • Industry knowledge required; Life, Accident and Health and SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) preferred. • Series 7 and 66 OR Series 65 required (or willingness to obtain in the first 120 days). • Computers skills are a must; expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. • Successful completion of all necessary components in Lawley's leadership development pathway. • Ability to work well independently and on a team. • Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills. • Open to continuing education, college degree preferred. • Positive attitude, even in a fast-paced environment. • A passion to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued The compensation range for this position takes many factors into consideration including but not limited to: years of experience/training, skill set, and licenses/designations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for a position as circumstances and location can vary in every hiring situation. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,706.08 to $119,510.13.
