Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Clinical Development, this position will be responsible for supporting overall participant recruitment and retention with an operational focus. This position works closely with research coordinators, investigators, and study teams to provide participant support, address concerns, and implement engagement strategies that encourage continued participation in clinical studies.
The Retention Specialist will share ideas and planning with trial teams to optimize participant recruitment driving engagement of the right participants, ones that are willing and capable of performing the protocol specified visit schedule and tasks associated with their study participation to completion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support design and execution of patient recruitment, collaborating with study teams to identify the target population and support outreach strategies across the trials.
- Develop and implement study plans for recruitment and retention.
- Building and maintaining relationships with sites, CROs, and vendors that support trial recruitment and retention efforts.
- Extend the company connection to advocacy groups and other organizations that support recruitment and retention in clinical trials.
- Conduct market research to understand patient needs and barriers to participation in clinical trials and using this information to plan adequate recruitment/retention strategies.
- Create Site and Participant facing documents/materials that define direction and support of recruitment and/or retention.
Qualifications:
- BSN/Master of Science preferred. A bachelor's degree in Life Science will be considered with adequate and relevant experience (6+ yrs)
- Studies in Dietetics or Nutrition, along with experience in chronic weight management with GLP1s is a plus
- Deep understanding of the clinical trial process and the ability to develop and implement successful recruitment and retention strategies
- Strong analytical skills with experience in understanding trial metrics, analyzing trends and adjusting to meet goals in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Capable of managing multiple timelines while working with cross-functional groups
- Attention to detail and organizational
Travel Required:
- Willingness to travel to clinical research sites, investigator meetings and other initiatives as needed, US based, 40-50%

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $140,000-$178,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.
At Structure, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
