Position DetailsTitle: Retail Brand ManagerDepartment: MarketingReports to: Sr. Retail Brand ManagerLocation: DearbornJob Classification: RemoteFLSA Status: ExemptJob Band: ProfessionalJob Summary The Retail Brand Manager is responsible for the development of the strategic marketing and merchandising direction for account partners within an assigned channel, based on meeting brand objective, department strategy, and sales goals. Plans will reflect the voice of the brand while driving demand across key markets/segments and the sell-in/sell-through of Carhartt product. This role will help to bring the Carhartt brand to life on the retail floors and online at the all-important point of decision and drive loyalty.
Associate Responsibilities - Collaborate with Sales, Product, Planning and internal Marketing partners to manage the transformation of the Brand Marketing strategy channel into account specific 3-year/annual plans and seasonal go-to-market execution
- Act as a strategic partner and primary point of contact with assigned account partners, collaborating and developing relationships with these partners to lead highly impactful integrated marketing and merchandising plans while driving ROI
- Plan, develop, implement and manage retail strategies designed to drive traffic and revenue, increase brand awareness and penetrate multiple consumer segments, within a given Region and/or channel of distribution
- Manage complex omni-channel marketing programs that cross multiple account partners, departments, business categories and multiple marketing vehicles
- Help define and sell-in the vision for product presentation and communication that best inspires the consumer in support of Carhartt's Visual Standards both in-store and online
- Develop, implement, manage and help optimize an account planning process to drive revenue, increase brand and product awareness with targeted consumer segments and support corporate Sales and Marketing initiatives at the account level
- Plan, track, provide monthly spending estimates and measure the annual budgets of assigned account partners by reporting return on investment (ROI) for omni-channel marketing and merchandising programs on a quarterly, seasonal and annual basis to ensure revenue goals are being achieved
- Act as liaison between Sales, Planning and Marketing, helping to lead the development and activation of marketing programs delivering creative, media plans, in-store, online brand experiences and social media tools and other custom programming
- Keep abreast of consumer trends by assigned channel of distribution, as it relates to social, on-line, omni-channel and retail behaviors, to develop and implement relevant and effective marketing programs that grow the Carhartt brand and business
- Mid-to-high level complexity of accounts requiring strong communication amongst teams to create plans and strategy requiring understanding of business acumen
- Responsible for building relationships and partnering with individuals in marketing and others (ex: Buyers, Planning, Operations, E-commerce, etc) for assigned accounts
Required Education - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Required Skills & Experience - 5 or more consecutive years of marketing experience
- 2 years of merchandising experience preferred
- Strong background with the apparel, retail, or consumer product industry
- Self-starter with the ability to plan, develop, prioritize, implement, and manage retail strategies designed to drive traffic and revenue, increase brand awareness, and penetrate multiple consumer segments, within a given channel of distribution
- Problem solver with strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Strategic and creative thinker with the vision to push beyond what has already been accomplished
- Ability to establish an independent view, effectively collaborate in decision-making, with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Demonstrated understanding of accounts, channels, consumers, and competitive set relevant to assigned account partners
- Intermediate merchandising skills with the ability to integrate omni-channel marketing, sales, planning, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and facilitate meetings with accounts, agencies, and external resources
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to handle a variety of tasks and prioritize workload
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions - Remote or in-office environment
- Extensive travel up to 50%
- This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.
