The Procurement Manager supports the Head of Department in implementing the overall procurement strategy. They provide functional supervision to Agents and Specialists, oversee critical procurement activities, ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, and act as an escalation point for commercial and contractual issues. The role also contributes to the evolution of the discipline's processes and practices.
What you will do
Planning and Preparation of Procurement Activities
• Contribute to the overall procurement strategy.
• Organize the prequalification of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement procurement methods and strategies.
• Identify strategic or critical packages.
Tendering, Analysis, and Contract Management
• Execute or oversee critical or strategic tendering processes.
• Validate award recommendations prior to final approval.
• Ensure contractual and regulatory compliance of subcontracts.
• Provide guidance on complex negotiation activities or intervene as an escalation point.
Communication, Coordination, and Monitoring
• Act as an internal and external escalation point for contract and commercial issues.
• Oversee or participate in discipline-related coordination and follow-up meetings.
• Support governance and performance control of procurement activities.
Risk, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate procurement-related risks.
• Oversee the management of claims and disputes.
• Contribute to the evolution of corporate processes, tools, and practices.
• Supervise contract close-out activities and supplier evaluations.
This role could be for you if you have
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in subcontract management within the construction, engineering, and/or industrial sectors.
• Strong proficiency with information systems, office software, and management systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
