DescriptionFehr Graham is seeking an experienced
Resident Engineer to support construction oversight for a major wastewater treatment facility project. This role will serve as the on-site technical representative, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and regulatory requirements.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication, sound engineering judgment, and hands-on construction oversight experience in municipal wastewater infrastructure.
What You'll Do- Serve as the primary on-site representative for Fehr Graham during construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, project managers, and municipal stakeholders.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, and field documentation.
- Monitor construction schedules, quantities, and quality control procedures.
- Identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the project team.
- Conduct and document progress meetings and site observations.
- Maintain accurate project records, field reports, and correspondence.
- Communicate project updates to client stakeholders on a weekly basis.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.
What It Takes- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction engineering, or construction oversight.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Direct experience with wastewater treatment plant design or construction strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contract administration, and municipal infrastructure standards.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
