Job Description**This is a full-time contractor position**With limited supervision, responsible for applying broad professional knowledge and experience to solve complex problems in semiconductor hardware research. The Research Scientist III contributes significantly to business processes and quality improvement, applying advanced modeling techniques and leading projects with broader scope.

- Author and review scientific publications, patent applications, and presentations.
- Develop and refine experimental methodologies and prototypes.
- Drive integration of research outcomes into development and manufacturing processes.
- Interpret experimental data to make technical recommendations influencing product strategies.
- Support strategic planning for research directions and resource allocation.
- Lead complex research projects involving novel semiconductor materials, devices, or processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Experience in computational fluid dynamic simulation (e.g. Ansys CFD) of multiphase (gas-liquid-solid) flows and COMSOL Multiphysics simulation on RF and plasma systems are preferred
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, product development, and external partners.
- Expertise in experimental design, data modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Leadership skills to guide research teams and manage project deliverables.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Advanced understanding of semiconductor device physics, materials science, and research instrumentation.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure)- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Graduate training (Master or Ph.D.) are preferred
