Full Job Description
As our Research & Development Field Account Manager Strategic Accounts, you will build trusted relationships within key strategic accounts, create early visibility into emerging molecule programs, and support the adoption of technologies that enable scientific progress. This field-based position supports strategic customer accounts and is remotely based in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, offering the opportunity to work closely with leading biopharma organizations while contributing to better health for more people.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
  • Build sustained relationships with scientific and managerial stakeholders across Strategic Account R&D sites to increase access, trust, and visibility into molecule programs, discovery activities, and R&D process decisions

  • Map and maintain molecule pipeline visibility by tracking program status, site footprints, and upcoming decision points from discovery through R&D to enable timely technology seeding and opportunity creation

  • Identify and prioritize early-stage technology seeding opportunities by translating R&D process needs and discovery-stage requirements into defined use cases and aligning appropriate Business Unit technical experts to support validation activities across new molecules, processes, and modalities

  • Drive validation of selected technologies through process and product trials, including scale-up, scale-down, and manufacturing-sensitive validation activities, while documenting outcomes and readiness signals that support progression toward pilot, clinical, or manufacturing adoption

  • Support pilot and clinical-phase (Phase I-III) process and product trials by enabling process optimization, validation activities, and manufacturing readiness in collaboration with Product Development, Tech Transfer, and CMO partners

  • Monitor the evolving process landscape within assigned accounts by identifying new processes, transfers, and modalities and proactively highlighting footprint changes, risks, and business implications to relevant internal stakeholders

  • Execute structured handovers of validated programs by providing stakeholder maps, process context, validation evidence, and recommended next steps to commercial teams


What will convince us
  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a comparable scientific discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles within biopharma environments, including process development support, technical sales, applications, or scientific support, with strong exposure to R&D environments

  • Demonstrate the ability to operate credibly within highly scientific settings and translate early-stage R&D requirements into structured validation and technology adoption pathways

  • Communicate confidently with diverse senior decision makers and collaborate effectively with Technical Sales teams to shape complex customer solutions

  • Manage stakeholders successfully across customer R&D networks and cross-functional internal organizations

  • Utilize CRM systems, including SFDC, and maintain disciplined documentation practices for pipeline management, customer process tracking, validation evidence, and decision-point management

  • Demonstrate willingness to travel more than 50% to support customer engagement and field-based activities

Travel required to visit customer sites within the US and potential for international travel for business meetings.
