Full Job Description
The salary range for this role is $73,000 - $90,000/year + Bonus

As a Research Consultant (Survey) on Numerator's Research Consulting team, you'll independently own client relationships across a core set of clients and ad-hoc projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to your clients by synthesizing complex data into clear insights, building compelling narratives, and delivering actionable recommendations that strengthen client partnerships and directly influence business decisions. This role requires strong judgment, comfort operating with minimal oversight, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and ad-hoc projects, owning client relationships end-to-end, delegating to members of your project team as needed, and building strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Consulting, and Operations.
  • Own the full project life cycle for client-specific work-from scoping and project design (including proposal writing and pricing as needed) through execution-covering project design, questionnaire development, sample definition, data tabulation and analysis, client-ready deliverables, and presentation of results.
  • Design and deliver both custom, full-service research and tech-enabled, DIY survey solutions on Numerator's platform, guiding clients towards the right approach based on objectives, timelines, budget and capabilities.
  • Apply a strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies, sampling approaches, industry standards, and intermediate panel structures to design high quality research.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and effectively interpret results, partnering with internal analytics experts as needed.
  • Go beyond reporting results to deliver high-level insights, strategic storytelling, and clear actionable recommendations tailored to client business questions.
  • Leverage Numerator's shopper panel and collaborate with the Consulting team to create holistic, high-impact research designs and outputs.
  • Contribute to broader client strategy in partnership with the account team and provide support for sales initiatives.
  • Manage client workload and multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision/oversight required, prioritizing effectively while maintaining a high bar for quality and client service.
  • Delegate appropriately to and mentor Research Analysts and Research Operations partners, providing clear direction, feedback and support.
  • Travel, as required, to support the above responsibilities.
Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on quantitative research experience, including end-to-end ownership of custom research projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients to translate their business questions and objectives into a research design.
  • Strong command of survey research methodologies, questionnaire design, sampling strategies and data analysis techniques.
  • Advanced storytelling, data visualization, and presentation skills, with a track record of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and grow client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to mid- to senior-level client stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize accordingly while maintaining superior client service.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, including experience with or openness to tech-enabled and DIY research platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer:
  • An inclusive and collaborative company culture- we work in an open environment while working together to get things done, and adapt to the changing needs as they come.
  • Market competitive total compensation package.
  • Volunteer time off and charitable donation matching.
  • Strong support for career growth, including mentorship programs, leadership training, access to conferences and employee resource groups.
  • Great benefits package including health/vision/dental, Personal Spending Account, unlimited PTO, flexible schedule, 401K matching, travel reimbursement and more.
