The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an outstanding cardiologist, ABIM-Board eligible/certified. Candidate will be superior in all aspects of Cardiology-Oncology clinical practice and research. The candidate will establish an independent basic science research laboratory in cardio-oncology. This will comprise approximately 75% of their effort. The candidate will also contribute to clinical cardio-oncology and general cardiology care at Clements Hospital, Parkland Hospital, and/or in our outpatient clinics and to training of students, residents, fellows and post-doctoral trainees.

• Sites of practice include:

Ø William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility designed for patient comfort and well-being where complex tertiary and quaternary care is provided which incorporates advanced technology to enhance multidisciplinary collaboration

Ø Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas County's exemplary urban public hospital which provides outstanding diagnosis and treatment for virtually every type of condition or disease

Ø Clinical Heart and Vascular Center, where ambulatory care at UT Southwestern is delivered in a collaborative manner with our allied health care team
• A diverse array of specialized services in cardiovascular disease are available to support a general cardiologist's practice including an interventional program that does complex PCI and structural heart interventions; electrophysiology program (ablations, devices); advanced heart failure/MCS/cardiac transplantation; and programs in preventive cardiology, ACHD, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardio-oncology, hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, sports medicine, cardiac sarcoid, and women's heart health, amongst others.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet these qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiology fellowship program
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas
• Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
