Position Overview

IKS Health is an execution partner to care delivery organizations, bringing platform tools and operating support to own value-based care outcomes together. IKS has formed a new ACO convenor, Value Partners Collective ACO, to participate in the ACO LEAD model. Participants are currently based in the Pacific Northwest and will expand nationally, with a focus on micropolitan communities.

As the AVP, you will be accountable for the ACO's financial performance, governance, and strategic growth. You will embed as a partner in our participant leadership teams who are newer to value-based care to drive workflow transformation and change management. You will lead a team over data, compliance, and sales functions. You will oversee ACO regulatory obligations, CMS reporting requirements, and necessary administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the executive accountable for overall shared savings performance under the CMS ACO LEAD model.
  • Analyze spend trends against historical and market performance, identify underperformance drivers, and lead high-impact initiatives to mitigate avoidable utilization.
  • Strategically deploy and implement IKS solutions including population health management platform, risk stratification, actuarial modeling, agentic patient engagement, care gap closure, HCC coding, and targeted cost of care management.
  • Optimize panel attribution, risk adjustment, and quality performance across and within ACO participant groups.
  • Operationalize workflow changes to participant clinic operations and care models through engaging deeply in participant group change management
  • Build a lean team while continuing to serve as player-coach with significant time embedded in participant groups to drive performance alongside clinical, operational, and executive teams
  • Manage ACO administrative operations, facilitating effective coordination across compliance, data, GTM, and clinical partner teams.
  • Oversee all CMS ACO LEAD regulatory functions, ensuring strict compliance with federal guidelines, governance structures, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate and contract with prospective participant groups.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive value-based care leadership experience, including at least 5+ years directly managing ACO operations in MSSP and/or REACH.
  • Experience building, scaling, and operationalizing an early-stage or newly launched ACO network with measurable success generating shared savings in significant downside risk.
  • Proven success guiding inexperienced practices through the operational, clinical, and cultural transition required to succeed in two-sided risk arrangements.
  • Hands-on experience scaling an early-stage ACO, building out provider networks, and establishing operational execution frameworks from the ground up.
  • Deep regulatory acumen in federal ACO programs (MSSP, ACO REACH, or ACO LEAD) with experience overseeing entity governance, reporting, and compliance alongside centralized support teams.
  • Strong analytical and operator skills to readily translate complex claims, clinical, and financial data into actionable strategies.
  • Self-starter with a bias to action and disciplined self-accountability within complex organizational structures.
  • High executive presence with a player-coach mindset and a willingness to travel ~40% across the Pacific Northwest to build trust and drive on-site execution with practice leadership.
