Poste et missionsJoin Natixis as an Associate in our Insurance and Financial Sponsor Coverage group. In this dynamic, high-impact role, you will focus on deepening client relationships with priority North American insurance and financial sponsor clients. Working in close collaboration with Senior Bankers across both teams, you will help design and deliver tailored financial solutions, with a primary focus on traditional bank financing, structured solutions, and strategic services.
As an Associate, you will oversee the internal processing and manage the day-to-day coverage activities for a portfolio of existing and prospective Strategic, High-Potential, and Key clients, as well as related sector prospects. This highly collaborative role requires seamless coordination with Natixis' Senior Bankers, Business Lines, Product Groups, Corporate Finance Group, Global Markets Teams, and Distribution and Portfolio Management teams to optimize cross-selling, reporting, and communication.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRelationship Management and Marketing Activities- Pitch Preparation: Collaborate with Senior Bankers and product partners to prepare sophisticated, client-facing presentation materials and strategic pitch books.
- Sector Intelligence: Develop a deep understanding of industry-specific client needs and the full spectrum of product capabilities Natixis can deliver.
- Client Engagement: Participate in client calls and meetings, analyze client needs, formulate strategic recommendations to enhance relationships, and draft comprehensive call reports.
- Deal Origination: Proactively identify and flag potential transaction and origination opportunities.
- Coverage Continuity: Arrange client calls and step in to manage client inquiries seamlessly when Senior Bankers are out of the office.
- Onboarding Coordination: Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and product teams to oversee and expedite new client onboardings and structural modifications related to FX, Repo, EQD, and Rates.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to Client Action Plans and participate in internal reviews of key client relationships.
Transaction Execution and Underwriting- Front Office Documentation: Work alongside Senior Bankers and product teams to draft comprehensive Front Office memos for new transactions, tailored to the specific deal type and booking entity.
- Deal Execution: Actively participate in all aspects of transaction review, evaluation, and execution, ensuring the same rigor as applied during annual credit reviews.
New Credit Requests, Amendments, and Annual Reviews- Annual Reviews: Coordinate with Senior Bankers to manage annual reviews across various product lines (PVF, Insurance Solutions, Global Trade, and Global Markets). Provide vital relationship inputs, source client financial data, edit credit memos, and align with product partners to confirm repo, IFT, and line requirements.
- Credit Committee Coordination: Work closely with Credit Risk on timing, deadlines, and committee schedules. Defend rating assessments, draft requests for business approvals, compile transaction dossiers, and actively participate in committee presentations.
- Interim Credit Requests: For Global Markets exposures, coordinate the process with the Client Office and global hubs, provide financial and relationship insights for Front Office memos, and negotiate line increases with Credit Risk and product partners.
- Amendments and Approvals: Manage transaction amendments by aligning with Credit Risk, coordinating with CPRM for necessary approvals, managing the documentation workflow with Legal, and ensuring all required "Legal Visas" are secured.
Administrative Oversight and Operational Excellence- KYC Compliance: Support the global KYC team by sourcing client information, verifying main inputs to ensure product accuracy, and driving the compliance process to successful completion.
- Special Projects: Conduct research and prepare comprehensive internal presentations on strategic initiatives such as Insurance Strategy, Fund Finance, Private Credit, and other emerging market topics.
- Data and Revenue Reporting: Audit and resolve discrepancies in revenue reporting, ensure correct credit exposure is mapped in the Credit Portal post-closing, and verify that new and existing clients are properly configured in internal databases (e.g., Tethys and Nat1).
- Internal Governance: Prepare deal tombstones, updates, and materials for global sector calls, and participate actively in regular Coverage
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate banking, or financial services. Prior exposure to financial institutions, insurance companies, or financial sponsors is highly preferred.
- Credit Acumen: Solid analytical skills with proven experience drafting formal credit proposals, transaction memos, or investment committee presentations. Prior formal credit training is preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to convey complex ideas clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to senior leaders and sophisticated clients.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with institutional financial data providers (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Mergermarket) is preferred.
- Execution and Organization: Strong organizational talent with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize client-focused initiatives, and deliver premium work under tight deadlines.

- Licensing: Possession of the SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses is highly desirable, or must be successfully obtained within the standard firm grace periods upon joining.
The salary range for this Associate position will be between $140,000 - $175,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
