  • Administer FERPA regulations in coordination with legal and student affairs.

Full Job Description
Position Summary

Leads and manages the Registration and Records Office including supervision of staff. The Registrar develops, implements, and assesses the scheduling process, registration, graduation conferral, and maintenance/integrity of academic records. This position supervises the administration of academic policies and procedures. The Registrar researches, analyzes and interprets data and processes to assist leadership in decisions related to enrollment trends, academic and curricular policies, and related technology. The Registrar coordinates and consults with various offices on campus wide operations/initiatives related to the Registration and Records Office.

Responsibilities
  • Functional expert on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions including student records, course catalog, academic scheduling, program tables, term setup and queries
  • Supervises the staff of the Registration and Records Office including day-to-day operation, staff development, performance evaluations and - if necessary - corrective action.
  • Supervises the effective operation of the Registration and Records Office including, but not limited to, budget/expenditures, day-to-day operation, and operational improvement.
  • Oversees the academic scheduling process including communication with key stakeholders and coordination with academic operations staff in developing and implementing the course schedule for each academic year.
  • Oversees the operations and training for campuswide utilization of Coursedog including but not limited to the utilization in developing and updating the schedule, processing curricular changes, and updating various campus catalogs and handbooks (primarily the Schools Catalog)
  • In coordination with other offices, supervises compliance with academic, regulatory and accreditation policies and data reporting requirements of student records for the National Student Clearinghouse and other required reports from Local, State, Federal or other regulatory bodies.
  • Oversees the identification and distribution of student commencement eligibility lists, ensuring accurate application of eligibility requirements.
  • Serves on various institutional and academic committees, including the Academic/Refund Review Boards, Course Proposal Committee, and Curriculum Committee providing expertise and guidance as it relates to policies and processes.
  • Oversees the content, accuracy, and usability of Registrar's Office web pages to ensure information is current and accessible to students, faculty, and staff.
  • In coordination with legal counsel, the Office of Student Affairs, and other relevant stakeholders, supervises Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) administration

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in higher education registration and records or related fields including experience supervising full-time or part-time staff.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions required; experience with Peoplesoft connected solutions (such as Coursedog or Slate) preferred.
  • Ability to work with multiple software and systems, with particular emphasis on data tools such as Excel/Google Sheet, AirTable, PowerBI, and/or Tableau
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituents including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Effective presentation skills to small and large groups
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills

The expected hiring range is an estimated amount for positions based on the grade. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
