Outpatient Imaging - Blackwell
As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will:
• Performs diagnostic imaging studies per protocol. Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects diagnostic x-ray protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care.
• Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS,).
• Monitors and assists patients, before during and after examinations. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Knowledgeable and practices ALARA principles including proper shielding of patients.
• Maintain patient, organizational and employee confidentiality.
• Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients we serve i.e., pediatrics, geriatric and adolescent patients.
• Receive patients, explains procedures and answers all patient questions and concerns pertaining to the exam.
• Maintains schedule with a flexible attitude to accommodate variable volume.
• Assists in orienting new employees, and training radiography students.
• Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
• High school or GED required.
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography/and OR associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred)
• 1 year’s radiography experience preferred
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) R.T.(R)
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong customer service & critical thinking skills

• Effective verbal and written skills
• Ability to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer)
• Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment
• Stocking and management of supplies/linen for assigned area

Typical Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Friday

On-Call: No$10,000 sign- on bonus over 3 installments (paid at 90 days, 1 year, & 2 years of hire date) *Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.
Pay Range:
$32.17 - $48.25
If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
