Position SummaryThe Columbus Organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a day-shift team in Goldsboro, NC. This position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to individuals receiving inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health treatment.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental health status.
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses.
- Provide therapeutic nursing interventions, crisis intervention, and individualized patient support.
- Observe, assess, and document changes in patient conditions and behaviors.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatric providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Support patient safety through effective communication, de-escalation techniques, and adherence to facility protocols.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medication management, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications- Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured inpatient behavioral health environment.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to behavioral or medical emergencies.
- Previous psychiatric nursing or behavioral health experience preferred.
- Availability to work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend.
