Responsibilities
Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care for outpatient and inpatient populations
Assist with electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker placements and ablations
Support cardiac catheterization procedures such as heart biopsies and stent placements
Conduct interventional radiology procedures like angiograms and chemoembolization
Collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment

Interventional Cardiovascular (Pre-Op) Admission & Recovery (ICAR) is seeking a full time Registered PACU Nurse to work 4x10 hour shifts, 6am-4pm, 9a-7p, 1pm-11pm OR 5x8hr shifts 6am-2pm, 9am-5pm, 1pm-9pm with minimal weekend and holiday requirement.
Patient Population includes all age ranges from infant to adult.
We are located on the ground floor of the Inova Schar Heart & Vascular Center - Fairfax Medical Campus. This is a fast paced, team-oriented unit with an emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. Many opportunities for growth and involvement in the unit and hospital initiatives. This unit also supports the CT guided biopsy procedures in the ICPH building. All staff are cross-trained and required to float between both locations.

RN PACU Qualifications:
One year of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience is required
Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an associate's degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start
RN PACU preferred qualifications:
2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED)
